ABOUT THE FABRICS

The weaving series deals with weaving as an act of relationships and connections: Connection of different materials such as textile and paper or combining symbolic materials such as different identities, as a metaphor for connections between people.

The textiles were created using an industrial loom with manually intervention while dyeing the warp threads. The weft threads were replaced with photographs-stripes that were woven into the fabric and became an inseparable part of it.
